Chris was the only child of Wyatt and Ana Lightfellow. Her mother was a member of the Zexen nobility and her father served as Captain of the Zexen knights. Her mother died when she was five and her father disappeared shortly thereafter. A family friend, Lord Keeferson, took her in and raised her until she was old enough to attend the military academy.
At first, her classmates were skeptical of a girl who wanted to be a knight, but soon she began to show them up. By the time she was sixteen, she was squire to Galahad, the new knight captain. There was much talk of how she had earned such a distinguished position but she ignored the gossip and focused on her training.
She was knighted at eighteen and saw her first battle a month later. Her battle prowess was sung in ballads and many other young women were inspired by her deeds to attend the military academy.
When Chris was twenty-two, the Grasslands War had taken a harsh toll on the Zexen populace and in one battle, Galahad and his vice-commander were killed. Defeat seemed certain for the knights, but Chris rallied the troops and turned the tide of the battle. She was called ‘The Silver Maiden’ after that and became a celebrity as well as Captain of the Knights, served by her five trusted lieutenants.
Chris fought in the Second Fire Bringer War and it was during this war that she inherited the True Water Rune from her father. Following the war, she committed herself to Zexen service and fought in the Zexen-Tinto border clashes…until she was called to Toran Castle.
